چکیده
We provide a systematic study of the position-dependent correlation function in weak-lensing convergence maps and its relation to squeezed limit three-point (3PCF) using state-of-the-art numerical simulations. relate harmonic counterpart, i.e., power spectrum or equivalently integrated bispectrum (IB). use recently proposed improved fitting function, BiHalofit, for compute theoretical predictions as source redshifts. In addition low redshift results (${z}_{s}=1.0--2.0$) we also inferred from lensing cosmic microwave background (CMB), ${z}_{s}=1100$. include Euclid-type realistic survey mask noise. agreement with recent studies on spectrum, find that simulations are consistent expectations when appropriate corrections included. Performing rough estimate, signal-to-noise (S/N) detection ${f}_{\mathrm{sky}}=0.35$, can range between 6--12 depending value intrinsic ellipticity distribution parameter ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\ensuremath{\epsilon}}=0.3--1.0$. For reconstructed $\ensuremath{\kappa}$ an ideal CMB $\mathrm{S}/\mathrm{N}\ensuremath{\approx}1.8$. found 10% deviation ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{8}$ be detected IB optimistic case ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\ensuremath{\epsilon}}=0.3$ $\mathrm{S}/\mathrm{N}\ensuremath{\approx}5$. The S/N such ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}_{M}$ is lower.

Constraining Cosmology with High Convergence Regions in Weak Lensing Surveys
We propose to use a simple observable, the fractional area of “hot spots” in weak gravitational lensing mass maps which are detected with high significance, to determine background cosmological parameters. Because these high-convergence regions are directly related to the physical nonlinear structures of the universe, they derive cosmological information mainly from the nonlinear regime of dens...
متن کاملThe Effect of Weak Lensing on the Angular Correlation Function of Faint Galaxies
The angular correlation function ω(θ) of faint galaxies is affected both by nonlinear gravitational evolution and by magnification bias due to gravitational lensing. We compute the resulting ω(θ) for different cosmological models and show how its shape and redshift evolution depend on Ω and Λ. For galaxies at redshift greater than 1 (R magnitude fainter than about 24), magnification bias can si...
متن کاملCross-correlation Weak Lensing of Sdss Galaxy Clusters I: Measurements
This is the first in a series of papers on the weak lensing effect caused by clusters of galaxies in Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The photometrically selected cluster sample, known as MaxBCG, includes ∼130,000 objects between redshift 0.1 and 0.3, ranging in size from small groups to massive clusters. We split the clusters into bins of richness and luminosity and stack the surface density contrast...

متن کاملWeak Lensing Surveys and the Intrinsic Correlation of Galaxy Ellipticities
We explore the possibility that an intrinsic correlation between galaxy ellipticities arising during the galaxy formation process may account for part of the shear signal recently reported by several groups engaged in weak gravitational lensing surveys. Using high resolution N-body simulations we measure the projected ellipticities of dark matter halos and their correlations as a function of pa...
